Houston Pregnancy Success Rates
Fertility success rates are measured at a national level according to live births that resulted from a fertility procedure. As healthcare practitioners we pride ourselves on instituting state of the art IVF and ICSI procedures. When we institute these tools, as an IVF Specialist, Sonja Kristiansen MD can only measure initial success rates by pregnancy. It then takes 9 months before delivery can be identified as a success. When success is reported by the CDC, the self reported numbers are approximately 2 years old. Another point to consider when investigating success rates is that Reproductive Endocrinologists can let the impact of success rates impede their willingness to serve patients, i,e; if a 40 year old woman wants to try to get pregnant an IVF Clinic may not be willing to treat her unless she is willing to use donor eggs. The reason the institute promotes this is because they know the success rates are lower and do not want an unsuccessful attempt to tarnish their statistics. Dr Kristiansen always wants to succeed, but not at the expense of the couples wishes. We know that when you review fertility specialists you must have trust that you are getting the best care possible.
The Houston Fertility Center ranks favorably nationally. We want you to have confidence that you will get the best care possible. We are constantly striving to improve and maintain a commitment to including our patients in the decision making process. Dr Kristiansen wants to serve all patients regardless of the potential positive or negative impact on Houston Fertility Center's success rates.
